Cyber Essentials Certified

Cyber Essentials Certified!

Puzzle are Cyber Essentials Certified… and now you can be too!

To echo our commitment to promoting the best cyber security practices, we recently took the plunge and became Cyber Essentials Certified. This assessment not only allows us to demonstrate that we look after our own business & sensitive data, but that we take security and compliance regulations and recommendations seriously with looking after our clients & their data too. This helps place us as one of the leading cyber security-focused IT Support practices in Cambridgeshire.

So, what is Cyber Essentials?

Cyber Essentials is a government-backed, multi-industry scheme to help organisations protect themselves against cyber-attacks & accredit those that are compliant with the best-practice.

Cyber attacks come in many different forms, but the vast majority can be very basic in nature, often carried out by unskilled hackers giving it a try. They are the digital equivalent of a burglar trying your front door to see if it’s unlocked. The advice through Cyber Essentials helps put best practice in place to prevent you from being as vulnerable to attack.

Why would we become certified?

Becoming certified would not only expand your list of accolades to help promote your business to new & existing clients, but help to make your data more secure; ultimately saving time, money & embarrassment of a potential digital security breach. In addition, reviewing your cyber security as a whole, would aid your efforts towards compliance to GDPR legislation that came into effect earlier this year.

How can we become certified?

There is an assessment process to undertake, some of which may include some fairly technical aspects of your IT use – from end users passwords on their PCs, to your data storage, internet router & firewall. There are a number of accreditation bodies that will review your assessment submission and award the accreditation if your business complies with the rules set-out.

If you don’t, (or believe you don’t), currently qualify then don’t panic! Help is at-hand to quickly and inexpensively put the right procedures in place to ensure compliance and to get your business certified.

Can PuzzleTech help my business get certified?

We can handle that technical burden for you – it’s what we do. We’re helping businesses across Cambridgeshire become Cyber Essentials Certified & further secure their businesses from potential cyber security threats. Alongside the Cyber Essentials Certification, we’re also helping both new and our existing clients across our three sites in Cambridge, St Neots and St Ives, with GAP Analysis and remedial support to ensure the business is GDPR compliant.

We are also supporting businesses with our Virtual Data Protection Officer service.

A Data Protection Officer (DPO) is a position in a company whose responsibilities include ensuring that an organisation applies to the laws protecting individual’s data. This is highly important as an individual’s personal data needs to be protected and secured, and is now under intense scrutiny since the start of the new GDPR regulations. At Antechs, we can help ensure that your customer’s data will be monitored and secured correctly.
